Admiral action in Action Command & Control. Someday he’s gonna orchestrate a planetary defense from in there, just you wait. I really enjoyed the wall of monitors and the banks of controls which are somewhat manned at the moment. Stanley barely making it in shredding off his paper sterile suit. Funny thing about Albatross’ design. Koen gave me a rough and we fiddled with it a bit but pretty much he came with Gatchaman homage built in, which we both loved. Koen based him off the actual bird, how their head and beak appears. It never dawned on me that he’s be all white with a yellow beak just like the bird. He looks amazing but it still makes me smile every time I see it. Love the design though and I love the character. Think I will publish a production design on the Patreon… The patriotic rocket was frankly because whenever we approach something like this, we’re already thinking of the merchandise. This is a transforming toy rocket that we’d want to own, stand about 3′ tall, unfold even larger. We’re both fans of the bright toy color palette of the 80s and 90s so, well, this is what you get. Better than beige, burnt sienna and red I think. The Cat Claws, who ended up on a vent for the launch exhaust were flash fried, though their gear still works fine. Just using the moment to establish a bit of continuity about the equipment of our resident spy cult. Albatross barking at Ronni about using her powers is him being the smart professional superhero in the room. He doesn’t know she’s using her powers, he assumes that she is and chastises her on a hunch- which is correct. She is reflexively increasing her density to make herself tougher, which could easily scrub the mission. After all, fuel to thrust vs weight is the equation ennit? To answer 64 Bit’s question, no Major Tom jokes. I had one written but I consciously chose to not have Ronni wisecracking because she is riding a giant rocket away from the planet, and she’s taking this seriously. But the throwback line works well from Stanley.
