Not London, Albatross calling

Terse communication style. But this is Admiral Action’s right-hand man, and has been for 40 years now. Safe to say he’s seen some shit, and he wouldn’t be calling Hawkins out of the blue without purpose. I’m pretty pleased with how this went- neither party comes off as particularly incompetent, and reasonable assertions are made.

We’re building to the climax, and I hope it will be worth the wait.

ED’S NOTES

Talking heads and interesting backgrounds are getting a little easier for me to work with and draw. Sure, we got Hawkins, who we’ve seen evolve and learn since the beginning of the story, but the concept of two people communicating, no matter WHERE they’re doing it, is getting a little easier for me.

Pause panels for timing and impact? Check. 

Grumpy old bird man not responding to implied questions, in order to keep the upper hand in the situation? Double check.

Don’t YOU make the mistake of missing the car outside in the next page (not to be biased or nothin’, but I think you’ll like it).
