I offer no apology for Air Supply, which is clearly on Ronni’s mind after their discussion on the previous page. The idea of Ronni having a colorful spacesuit of her own originated back in like issue 1 when Koen drew a pinup of her in a custom spacesuit. By the time we got here Koen liked the idea of using Evel Kneival for inspiration, so since we have a patriotic hero known to do some astronaut work Ronni gained her star-spangled spacesuit. My friends and I used to play word games like this, working out bits with song titles and such. And yeah, that’s the 4th wall in that last panel- it just seemed right. Here’s the original pinup, colored by a brilliant freelancer who couldn’t do the book, sadly. Complete with Nintendo Power Glove and a very early not-yet-set appearance of Giant Girl.
