Meanwhile, back in the star chamber…
We named it that and I couldn’t tell you why. But I have to say that I love the design that Koen came up with for this set, where the Illuminati meet to discuss their plans and schemes. Where the issue opened with them arguing with Donnie over something that was never made clear, hopefully in hindsight now it all makes sense that he was proposing his new ‘cost cutting initiative’ to them, and the rest of the ‘board members’ were reacting accordingly- Colonel Kentucky not caring since he doesn’t do beef, nor the Earthbucks Enchantress, while Lil’ Red and Burger Baron were horrified and Moo… well, she’s dumber than a bag of hammers but she is still listening to her corporate masters at this point.
For those of you playing the home game, Moo Maid is the only one who is not a corporate shill come to life. Chix-fil-up found her and based their stupid cow campaign to convince people to ‘eet moar chikun’ after her, which was a runaway success. Not that it came up in this issue nor is it likely to come out any time soon, but the Illuminati will appear again, and eventually Moo will have her arc. After all, she’s actually a hero who hasn’t come into her own just yet, whose adventures are so silly they make Ronni’s look like Shakespeare.
