Cui Bono?
Is it paranoia if they really are eavesdropping on you, and Agents in black suits are passing by? If your computer starts sending you targeted ads, is it the military industrial complex out to get you, or is it something else?
In late-stage capitalism, it really can be hard to tell.
ED’S NOTES
One of the hardest things for me to keep track of while drawing a comic book page, is the background. Larry Hama recently posted on his social media page that he draws a map out of the area that he’s working within.
This makes TOTAL sense to me, in that a lot of times, there are props and people within the space that the page and scene are taking place in and the camera gets moved in order to project the emotion that I want the reader to feel, or the specific things that I would like the reader to pay attention to.
This page was no different. I had to be reminded of angles and placement of the camera a few times, so that reality was present and things more believable.
Sure, it’s a story about a superheroes, but it STILL has to stay within the boundaries of reality.
