And finally, Ronni Kane returns to the world she knows once more. Changed for the experience, but back where she belongs. The weirdness of the worlds of magic and monsters behind her as she re-emerges once more in Queen Anne Hill, a lovely neighborhood of Seattle (because of COURSE you can see the skyline from the witch’s house)

Of course she lives at 1313 13th Avenue.

Yes, they do kind of blithely walk past Simulacrum 394- neither is bothering to look back, and she’s not exactly drawing attention to herself. So while it may seem mildly implausible that they didn’t notice her, well, it’s been a heck of a day already. And I will confirm that’s not the witch herself, but one of her sims, who will come into play in a later storyline. As the Witch of Washington herself declared, “Now we shall see how this new future unfolds.”

Diviners who meddle always have a backup plan, and Morgan is certainly no different.

DEE’S NOTES

Ali pressing his face up against that force field is one of my favorite things I’ve drawn for the comic so far. It was a lot of fun to get just the right puppy dog sadness there.

I did my best to sell just how taken aback Ronni is to be home. She may have only been gone a little over a week from her point of view, but the switch back to normal is clearly jarring enough for her to have not noticed the sim for the flood of input AND the mask Stanley gives her.

Drawing cities, cars and normal houses is a bit of a challenge, but I’ll be working out how to manage these elements moving forward.
